I seek only that Your will be done. That You be glorified in all I do, without human interest or motivation out of self-love. Help me obey Your will and glorify You in words and acts. Let there be no attachment to any created thing, even the gifts I received from You. Let me accept all from Your hands with gratitude and humility, whether it be a question of consolation or trial. Defend me from the rigid and unyielding will that is controlled by self-love. Keep me simple, sincere, and truthful. Guard me from duplicity, hypocrisy, vanity and arrogance. That I may always accept with true peace the advice and counsel of those with authority over me and manifest sentiments of humility and self-effacement. No matter what its source, or whether or not it is justly received, let my soul bare all with equanimity, that I may always experience the profound and stable serenity in the depths of my spirit. Let me take no part in precipitation, frivolity, exaggeration and impetuosity. Keep me discreet, prudent, and thoughtful in all my actions that I be balanced, edifying, and full of calmness and peace.
